A boy has suffered head injuries after becoming trapped under a bus.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following a road collision in Southend where a 14-year-old boy was injured.
The teenager, who lives in Southend, suffered head injuries.
He is being treated at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge where he is described as being in a serious but not life-threatening condition.
The collision happened just before 3.45pm yesterday (Monday, November 18) outside of the Southend Victoria railway station in Victoria Avenue.
The teenager became trapped underneath the bus and was rescued by emergency services.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision.
Any witnesses are asked to contact Pc Simon Newman at Laindon Response and Patrol Unit via Essex Police 101 quoting incident 656 of November 17.
The road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and forensic examinations were carried out. It reopened just before 8.30pm.
Motorists were thanked for their patience whilst this work was carried out.
