Woman due charged with assisting an offender accused of attempted murder
A woman is due to appear in court today accused of assisting an offender.
Gary Jeakins, 51, of Canney Road, Steeple, was wanted in connection with an assault in Latchingdon on February 15.
He was arrested and subsequently charged with attemped murder and breach of a non-molestation order.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on October 2 and has been remanded until December 8 for trial.
Tina Smith, 53, of Palmer Road, London, E13, has been charged with assisting an offender after police found Jeakins at her home.
She is due before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
