A councillor hopes that flooded properties in Latchingdon may be eligible for grants to prevent it happening again.
Latchingdon parish councillor Graham Rogers, of The Street, Latchingdon, is one of ten home owners in the village whose garden floods up to 12 inches deep three times a year.
A renew and repair grant of up to £5,000 per property may be available for properties which were flooded between December 1 and March 31 and Mr Rogers is hoping this may benefit him and other residents in his street.
He said: “All of the water is off the fields and comes about because drainage ditches have been filled in to allow residential development.
“It’s a nightmare."
