A frustrated phone user is lashing out at Vodafone after they went back on their word to her.

Afka Ray, 39, a drug and alcohol worker, of Edward Bright Close, contacted Vodafone after having trouble with her reception.

She was unable to use her Windows phone, as it did not receive any reception in the area, even though she had only been with the company for three months.

Miss Ray contacted the company a number of times to raise the issue from May onwards.

She said: “Vodafone said it would be sorted within a week, so I waited.

“It wasn’t better and then they said I should adjust my signal to 2G, but that didn’t work either.

“Vodafone were refusing to cancel the contract even though it didn’t work.

“I had to use my housephone to make calls, which was sending the bill sky high, even though my mobile had unlimited calls.

“I couldn’t receive or make calls or texts.

“If I go to a restaurant and order soup and it doesn’t arrive, I wouldn’t pay for it.”
