Residents have been victorious in their battle to see outline plans for 75 homes turned down.
At a rowdy planning committee meeting on Monday, councillors refused a proposal for new homes on land south of Marsh Road, Burnham, on the grounds of inadequate access.
Following comments in favour by the developer’s agent, members of the public disrupted discussions to the point that chairman Ron Pratt threatened to hold talks in private.
Mr Pratt told residents “the heckling won’t help”.
