Stargazers across the Maldon district were left mesmerized by a supermoon.
The spectacular lunar phenomenon only occurs when the moon is full and positioned closest to earth during its yearly orbit, making it appear as much as 30 per cent brighter than usual and up to 14 per cent bigger.
Mayland resident Michelle Pease, 39, managed to alter the settings on her camera to take this detailed snap at 10.30pm on Sunday.
