The new children’s playarea in Southminster will be officially opened on Friday.
A ceremony will be held at 2pm at the new play area, near the King George V memorial fields, to formally “cut the ribbon” and open the park.
Councillor Norman Hume, chairman of Essex County Council, Burnham’s Town Mayor councillor Ron Pratt, and representatives from companies who helped to fund the £90,000 revamp of the old playarea will be attending the ceremony.
Mr Pratt said: “It’s been open for a short while but we needed to do something formally to thank those who helped fund the project.
“This has transformed the park, people are climbing all over it.”
