Police are investigating links between two similar burglaries where tools were removed from garages.
During a burglary in Imperial Avenue, Mayland, a garage was entered and tools were taken, between 8pm on August 3 and 7am on August 4.
Makita drills and a Makita light were stolen, worth £500. Police are linking this to a second burglary in Braxted Road, Little Braxted between July 29 and August 4 during which tools to the value of £850 were stolen.
A garage was entered and a MS180C chainsaw, a Makita mini grinder, a Stihl leafblower, a petrol strimmer and a Neilson CT0903 breaker were all stolen.
Police are appealing for any information or witnesses to the burglaries.
They remind residents to ensure their garages are left secure.
