An energetic mum has hotfooted her way around her 12th MoonWalk marathon in aid of breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk.

Lucy Cummins, of Mayland, has taken part in the charity’s night time London MoonWalk every year since 2006, has completed the Edinburgh MoonWalks twice and on July 26 achieved her dream of taking part in a marathon in New York.

Her husband, Andy Cummins, and son Fraser, 15, volunteered at the event - having done so at the London Moonwalk for the last three years - and were able to wave Lucy off on her 26.6mile walk at 10.30pm.

Participants of the Moonwalks wear decorated bras so Lucy wore a bra decorated with both London and New York taxis, designed by her colleague at Maldon Tesco, Louise Blanchot.
