A mum and daughter are getting on their bikes to raise money in honour of a brave little girl who has just won her fight against cancer.
Nikki Gefaell, and her daughter Georgie, 19, both of Maple Avenue, Heybridge, are saddling up to take on the 26 mile London Bikeathon, on August 31, in aid of the blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Their second cousin, Naomi Warren, of Pendles Drive, Basildon, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when she was aged just two.
Naomi, now four, is now in remission and recently celebrated the end of her treatment with a “no more chemo” party with her family and twin sister, Lorelai.
