Watersports enthusiasts rushed to the aid of a man who had capsized his dingy in the River Blackwater.
Stone Watersports Club member Lisa Parnham, of Langford Road, Langford, was riding her partner’s Yamaha WaveRunner personal watercraft from St Lawrence Bay when she saw a man sitting on top of his capsized dingy, shouting for help, at around 3pm on Sunday.
She helped him onto her craft and waited with him for the coastguard, who soon found the stricken dingy, which had lost its centreboard.
Miss Parnham, who uses the river with her family, hopes this shows that despite recent incidents involving speeding personal watercraft, most people using the river are considerate of others.
