Teenagers are busy working for their National Citizen’s Service in order to raise funds for an activity day for young carers.
They took part in the scheme by raising funds for an activity day and therapy room for Maldon charity Action for Family Carers.
The group sold cakes and Loom bracelets at Heybridge’s Asda and will be taking part in a car wash on August 5 at Plume School between 11am and 2pm.
With the money they raise they hope to take a group of carers, aged eight to 12 who look after members of their family, to Promenade Park for a day of activities, a picnic and then an afternoon at Monkey Puzzle in Madison Heights.
