A school that was told it needed to improve for the second time in under two years is taking “effective action” to tackle areas highlighted by inspectors.
St Mary’s Primary School, in Burnham, was rated as requiring improvement by Ofsted during an inspection in March and had also been given the same rating the previous September.
But a report based on the first monitoring inspection since the most recent judgment has indicated that improvements are being made.
The report stated that school leaders and governors had accepted the judgment and have “acted promptly to address the issues that were identified.”
Headteacher Geraldine Denham-Hale said: “The whole staff has worked hard, over several years, to secure the significant improvements that have been recognised, particularly in the core subjects of English and Maths."
