Coastguard went to the aid of a man in Tollesbury Marina

Coastguard and Air Ambulance rushed to the aid of a man who suffered burns after an explosion on his boat yesterday.

The man called 999 after a small explosion on his boat, at Tollesbury Marina, at 12.54pm.

He suffered burns from the explosion.

West Mersea Coastguard attended the incident and the man was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance.
