More houses are needed than the 4,410 already controversially earmarked for the district, claims a government-appointed inspector tasked with considering the plans.
David Vickery has called a meeting with Maldon District Council today to discuss his concerns that its Local Development Plan (LDP) is unsound.
He is also worried there is not money for the roads, flood alleviation schemes and other infrastructure needed to support the growth already planned for the district.
And he asked why no detail has been given about the future of St Peter’s Hospital.
