Colchester Institute hopes to build the Maldon Skills and Innovation Centre
Young people and workers could be offered more vocational training if a new learning centre goes ahead.
Colchester Institute hopes to build the Maldon Skills and Innovation Centre in The Causeway area of Heybridge.
A Maldon District Council report said: “The Colchester Institute bid is for the development of an employer led Skills and Innovation Centre, supporting the growth in manufacturing, marine and low carbon technology companies of which there are a large number in Maldon.
“It is likely that this will be located within the Causeway area."
The college is applying for funding for the project.
