A football match will be held in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in memory of a popular teenager.

Kristian Long, 19, lost his battle with cystic fibrosis in June last year but his family have continued to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in his name.

Gill and Bryan Long, his parents, and his older brother Charlie have arranged a fundraising football match to raise more funds for the trust.

The two teams, the Kristian Long Maldon Saints team and the Charlie Long Maldon Saints team, will be made up of former pupils from the school and the Maldon Saints football team.

The match will kick off at 2pm on June 22 at the Plume School astroturf.

Charlie will also take part in a skydive on June 28 with a group of friends.
