A runner is gearing up to be chased by zombies, get plastered in mud and hike 100 miles to raise money for a charity close to her heart.
Danielle Latham, 23, has already been pelted with paint during the 5km London Colour Run, a 5km race during which participants are covered in coloured powder, and is now taking on a series of energetic fundraising challenges for The Brain Tumour Charity.
She hopes to raise as much money as she can in memory of her best friend Holly Crisp, who died from a brain tumour aged 20, and her uncle Phil Latham, who lost his battle with the disease aged 66.
Miss Latham, of Mount Pleasant Road, South Woodham Ferrers, has so far signed up for six more challenges - Pretty Muddy Essex, the Race for Life, a 100 mile hike along the Cornish coast, a zombie evacuation challenge in cambridge and a santa fun run - but hopes to add more to her list.
