A churchwarden has been left very upset after receiving phone calls from a scam company.
Nonnie Bridge, 67, of Lawlinge Road, Latchingdon, is warden at Christ Church in the village.
She was contacted last Monday by a man called Eric Wilson who claimed to be from HSBC.
He said that she was entitled to £2,000 but had to pay him £220 to claim it.
Mrs Bridge notified her bank, who said it was a scam.
