A care home has improved greatly in six months, after failing four of seven inspection standards in November.

The last inspection carried out on Totham Lodge Residential Home for the Elderly, Broad Street Green Road, was in 2013.

The home was found not to be compliant with four standards, including treating residents respectfully.

In the latest inspection, on April 15, the home was found to have improved all round, but still needed to take action in two areas.

Jo Wells, manager at the home, said: “We are delighted that we have had such good comments from the CQC Inspector and from residents and relatives.

“The two non-compliances on the new report were judged by the CQC as having a minor impact on people who use the service and the documentation that was required to rectify the non-compliances has been put in place.”
