A new heritage discovery centre could be built at St Lawrence Church.

A planning application has been made to extend the south side of the church, in St Lawrence Hill, to create the new centre, which would include a tea point, disability toilet and meeting room.

Maldon District Council has yet to make a decision on the application.

Why add to the building? Just use what's there. It's a nice old building which needs a new purpose now that we've all grown up and don't believe in an invisible angry sky-fairy anymore.
