A care home that was criticised for failing to meet national standards has said it has tackled issues raised by inspectors.
Elmcroft Care Home, in Brickhouse Road, Tolleshunt Major, Maldon, was issued a formal warning by the Care Quality Commission for failing to ensure people were protected against the risks of inappropriate or unsafe care or treatment.
The home was also told to take action in relation to assessing and monitoring the quality of the service, following the unannounced inspection in February.
A spokesman for Abbey Health Care, which runs the home, said that action plans were sent to the CQC following the February inspection and that a “robust” internal quality assurance system was now in place along with an experienced new home manager.
She said that the CQC revisited on April 25 and that the home had been reported to be fully compliant against all standards inspected and the warning notice had been met.
