The number of road crashes in the area is shocking, but not surprising. Dangerous and careless driving is going undetected and unpunished by the woeful lack of local policing.

I must say I've moved from a very busy town to Southminster, and because of working hours I drive back about 10.30-midnight every day over the weekend, and I am shocked by some of the driving abilities on these roads!!! Too often I encounter boy racers almost taking me out on blind bends, and too often I encounter people who are drunk driving!! It's a bloody waste of time calling the police now as they can't be bothered to send the officers out of a busy town centre to these rural roads!! I couldn't agree more, it was only yesterday I passed a crash that had just happened, a van parked up with their hazards on and another car overturned in a ditch. One police car there and no ambulance.
