A sub-postmaster who hopes to retire after almost three decades of serving the village is struggling to sell it as ongoing business.
Anthony Stapleton has lived and worked at the post office in The Street, Latchingdon, for 27 years.
Mr Stapleton, 63, had a major operation in January, and hopes to retire.
His wife Barbara Stapleton, 75, said: “We can’t sell the post office, we have to get permission to change its use and it is taking a long time.”
The couple first looked into selling the property last June and have now applied for its use to be changed from commercial to residential before putting it on the market again.
The post office is still open for business.
