Residents in Burnham and the Dengie have been told to be patient in the wait for a new full time ambulance.
At the beginning of April, ambulance bosses announced that a 24-hour ambulance will be stationed in Burnham by the end of the month to combat lengthy waiting times for residents living nearby.
However it has emerged that now residents will have to wait until the summer to see the emergency service stationed close by.
A spokesman for the East of England ambulance service said: “The ambulance is not there yet and it’s not going to be there until the summer because we are still recruiting staff to crew the vehicle."
