A schoolgirl is encouraging her classmates to don denim to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Poppy Walmsley, ten, is organising the Denim for Diabetes day at Tollesbury Primary School on May 23.
A diabetes nurse will also speak to her classmates about the condition to raise awareness Poppy's sister Abigail, 12, and dad Stuart, both have Type 1 diabetes and are insulin dependant, each requiring a minimum of four injections a day.
The family, of The Street, Salcott, have raised thousands of pounds for the charity over the years.
