A mum who wanted to lower the speed limit on a road where her daughter died has spoken of her heartache after it was decided against.
Louise Rustman-Parker, 39, wanted Essex County Council to reconsider the speed limit in Lower Burnham Road, North Fambridge, after her daughter Abbey Parker died there in September 2012.
Seventeen-year-old Abbey, of Bakersfield, off The Drive, Mayland, and her boyfriend Bradley Cooper, of South Woodham Ferrers, died after the motorbike they were riding was involved in a collision with two tractors.
In the months after the accident, Abbey's cousin Lydia Griffiths and her brothers James and Liam launched an online petition urging the Department for Transport to make rural roads safer.
