Ninety homes could fit on a school and council owned field, helping to fund expansion of Maldon’s secondary school.
Plans for housing at Primrose Meadow in Mundon Road, Maldon, have emerged in a response to Maldon District Council's consultation on its pre-submission Local Development Plan.
Estate agent and property consultant, Strutt and Parker, representing the school and Essex County Council, which own the land, and Bellway Homes, asked for the council to allocate the site for 90 homes to be built within the next five years.
It said: "The Plume School Academy has identified a range of important educational improvements to the school academy, which could only be funded by the development of Primrose Meadow."
