A Burnham woman is fighting for her life after falling down the stairs.

The Herts Air Ambulance team in a response car and the East Anglian Air ambulance went to a house in the town’s Albert Road at 7.23pm last Saturday to treat a woman aged in her 40s.

She suffered a life-threatening head injury.

An ambulance and two EEAST community first responders were also sent to the scene.

An ambulance spokesman said: “A female fell down a flight of stairs and sustained life threatening injuries.

“EEAST crews and community responders worked closely with the critical care teams to treat the patient before she was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital for further care.”
