A hospice is reopening, eight months after it was severely flooded.
Farleigh Hospice’s building at the Bentalls complex in Colchester Road, Heybridge, was flooded during the August bank holiday.
It has now been fully dried out and redecorated and re-opens to patients on Tuesday.
Lounge and clinical areas have been refurbished and the Department of Health gave money to refit the kitchen, which is now professionally designed.
Other changes include a new room kitted out with tools and benches for male patients to work on projects and socialise.
