A woman in remission from leukaemia said watching her sister run a marathon for leukaemia research was ‘inspiring’.
Michaela Dunn, 25, of Norfolk Close, Maldon, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia on March 7 last year.
She said: “A year ago I never thought I would make it out of hospital.”
After undergoing four cycles of chemotherapy she was told she was in remission on April 11 last year.
Michaela’s older sister, Rhiannon, 26, ran the Brighton Marathon to celebrate Michaela being in remission and raised £1,000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
