Space is running out at Maldon cemetery
The cemetery where many Maldon residents are buried will reach capacity within the next ten years.
Maldon residents have been buried at the site on London Road since the cemetery opened in 1855.
Now the Infrastructure Development Plan shows that Maldon cemetery may be full by 2022, maybe even in 2020.
Andrew Cranvey, 58, funeral director at A G Smith of Maldon High Street, said: “I think it is important that families feel they can be buried in the same place.”
