A stranger in a silver BMW previously approached a 16-year-old boy in Steeple Road

Mums claim police are not taking reports of a car following children seriously. 

Mum-of-four Fiona Litscher, of Lavender Drive, Southminster, is the third person to speak to the Standard about a suspicious silver BMW roaming the area. 

Her daughter Ruby, 14,who attends William de Ferrers school in South Woodham Ferrers, was walking through the village with a friend in the dark on March 12.

Mrs Litscher, a mobile library superviser, said: “She was walking down North Street, towards the police station when the silver BMW kept coming up and parking alongside them and moving along when they were walking.

Well, did the girls first memorise the car number plate? That would help the police. What proof do they have that the police are not taking it seriously? There is nothing mentioned in the article to support the view.
