The funeral of veteran Labour politician Tony Benn takes place tomorrow.
A service for the former cabinet minister, whose family home was Stansgate Abbey Farm, in Steeple, will take place at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster, at 11am.
The Queen granted permission for his body to lie in the Palace of Westminster ahead of the funeral.
Baroness Thatcher was the only other Parliamentarian in history to be given the right to rest overnight in the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft.
Mr Benn had previously expressed his wish that he be buried next to his late wife Caroline at the family home in Steeple.
Mr Benn, who died on March 14 aged 88, had been a great supporter of Steeple and was also president of Marconi Sailing Club, based at Stansgate Abbey Farm, the family home for more than 100 years.
