Brownies from across Maldon division with Maldon mayor Peter Stilts Brownies from across the Maldon area celebrated the movement’s centenary with a Star Quest adventure.

The Maldon and Heybridge girls, aged seven to ten, joined more than 40 from Tiptree and Tollesbury at The Upper Plume School to mark The Big Brownie Birthday with a space-theme last Saturday.

They ‘travelled’ through three time zones to hunt for missing stars, made collages from recyclable junk and had their faces painted.
