Three firecrews tackled an accidental blaze in Little Totham last night.

A range of single storey workshops were set alight by an out-of-control bonfire in Wash Lane at 5.32pm on Tuesday evening.

Two Maldon and one Tollesbury crew fought the fire wearing breathing apparatus and using two hose reels.

The area alight measured 50m by 10m and the fire was put out by 6.49pm.

There were no injuries.
