Champagne corks flew when a businessman finally achieved planning permission for a children’s play centre.
Ian Cubberley, 48, of Rose Drive, Southminster, has spent £12, 477.62 on his 15-month fight for approval.
He originally hoped to open Let’s Go Bonkers in Springfield Road, Burnham, but Maldon District Council refused the application last June because it was concerned about lack of parking.
A second application last November, this time for a site on the Station Industrial Estate in Station Approach, was approved a fortnight ago.
