The Commonwealth flag will be raised in Maldon
Maldon District Council will raise the Commonwealth Flag in a national flag raising ceremony.
For the first time, councils, community groups and charities throughout the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man are taking part in celebrations for Commonwealth Day.
The flag will be flown at the council offices in Princes Road, Maldon, at 10am on Monday, when a message from the Queen will be read out.
It will be among 500 to be raised across the country.
