Police have arrested more people after a Latchingdon man was a victim of a hit-and-run.
The 27-year-old is still in a stable condition at Broomfield Hospital after he was struck by a car in The Street shortly before 2am on February 15 and the driver failed to stop at the scene.
He suffered serious leg injuries.
A 52-year-old woman, of Newham, East London, was arrested the day after the incident on suspicion of assault.
She is on police bail until May 2 pending further enquiries.
A 21-year-old man from Southminster was arrested on February 19 and a 55-year-old man from Southminster was arrested on Tuesday, both on suspicion of conspiracy to commit assault.
They have also both been bailed until May 2 pending further enquiries.
Police officers want to speak to one other man, who they believe will be able to help with their investigation.
