Water bills are set to increase by 10p as a five-year, multi-million pound investment programme continues.
The average bill for customers of Essex & Suffolk Water in 2014-2015 will be £227, increased from £222 for 2013-2014.
It means that customers will be paying 62p a day for their drinking water services.
Essex & Suffolk Water’s Chief Executive Officer, Heidi Mottram, said: “Although appreciating that any increase in charges will not be welcomed our household customers will still pay an average of 62p per day for their drinking water services which represents great value for money.”
