The police helicopter was scrambled to search for a missing girl in Latchingdon.

The 11-year-old was spotted running down a village street at 8pm on Sunday by a concerned member of the public, who promptly rang police.

Following a brief search involving officers on the ground and with the help of the police helicopter, the girl was found at 8.45pm at the junction of Limebrook Way and Mundon Road.

The girl, who was reported missing in mid-January in similar circumstances, was taken to a nearby home where she lives with relatives who are not her parents.
