A granddaughter is organising a charity ball in her nan's memory.
Amber Cogger, of Franklin Road, North Fambridge, is holding a charity gala for Macmillan Cancer Support in April.
Her grandmother, Maureen Knight, 72, died last July of cancer.
She was cared for by Macmillan nurses during the final stages of her illness.
Amber, a financial administrator, is organising the ball at The Ferry Boat Inn, Ferry Road, North Fambridge, on April 12.
The 23-year-old is looking for donations of prizes for a raffle and auction.
