Maldonians are clubbing together to raise tens of thousands of pounds for a brain injured teenager.
Teresa Mecoy is hoping to raise £14,000 for a communication aid for her son Sam Richards by launching a one-off music event for thousands to attend.
The event, which will be at the Langford Museum of Power in June, is likely to feature music acts, up to 80 stalls, a hog roast and celebrity guests.
Former publican Peter Conlan will also walk 525 miles from Lourdes in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain to raise money for Sam, from Maldon.
