More than £200,000 could be invested in a town park to boost visitor numbers and income.
Maldon District Council will consider five projects for Promenade Park, including boating on the lake and a crazy golf course.
Estimated costs are around £240,000.
Mark Durham, chairman of the council’s community services committee, said: "We are looking to develop some exciting attractions for Promenade Park which may include boating on the model boating lake, adventure/crazy golf and a new kiosk and beach huts in the valley area.
"We hope that these attractions will help to regenerate park, the town and add value to the district as a whole."
