A student midwife has vowed to shave her head if she can raise £1,000 for charity.
Cara Homer’s dad Sean McCarthy has been given just months to live after being diagnosed with terminal lung and colon cancer, while her grandmother, Mary Spark, and auntie, Michelle McCarthy, have both died of cancer during the last 13 months.
Mrs Homer, 34, of Brickwall Close, Burnham, is determined to do her bit to stop other families going through the same suffering and has promised to have her head shaved by friend Karen Broughton in July if she can raise £1,000 for Cancer Research.
