A mum who won her battle with the bulge is now helping other slimmers.

Lucy Satchell sought comfort in food when she moved to Yorkshire with husband Andy five years ago and found herself jobless and more than 200 miles away from friends and family.

At the time she weighed 17.5 stone but despite losing weight, it crept up again when she had to move again due to work in 2011.

Lucy, now of Kings Street, Maldon, was motivated to lose weight when she was asked to be a bridesmaid.

Last March she was slimmer of the year at her Slimming World group in Heybridge and is now a size 12 and 11.5 stone.

The 32-year-old has now set up her own group on Tuesdays at Maldon Baptist Church in Butt Lane, Maldon.
