X Factor singer Sam Callahan will be loaned a free car by a dealer in his home town.
Quest Motor Group in Maldon is lending the Great Totham singer a Citroen DS Cabriolet - worth £14,995 new - for two months, which he can then swap for a different car for two months.
Katie Bond, digital marketing manager, said: “We are part of a family owned business and Sam’s from near Maldon, where Quest started, and it’s our way to help a local lad jumpstart his career.
“He hasn’t got a car to get around.”
It is the first time the company has done anything like this and Sam’s fans, known as Callafans, will also be able to meet him when he visits Quest tomorrow at 11am.
Sam’s only caveat is that they were something Christmassy.
