A Chinese chest and a gold Rolex watch were stolen from a Maldon home.

Burglars forced open the front door of a home in Spital Road and took a haul including a heavy Chinese chest made of Rosewood brass metal with a Chinese pattern to the top, a Rolex watch, and a gold-plated Raymond Weil watch, which was square shaped, with a rope design around the face.

Police said the burglary was between 11.45am and 4.45pm on November 23.

Details have only just been released.
