A dedicated football fan walked 13 miles to see his team play.
Lifelong Heybridge Swifts fan Chris Daines, 52, walked from his home in Maldon to the Burnham Ramblers ground to see the two sides compete last Saturday.
Chris set off at 9am and took just under four hours to complete his trek across the Dengie peninsula.
Sponsors handed him more than £750 for his efforts, which will go to the Swifts to help towards running costs.
