Police closed Heybridge Approach for just over two hours
An elderly woman was taken to hospital after a crash involving a bus and a car.
Police were called to Heybridge Approach, Maldon, just before 4.30pm on Saturday.
An Essex Police spokesman said a Ford KA and a bus had collided and a bus passenger aged in her 70s was injured.
An ambulance was called however details of her injuries are not known at this stage.
The road was closed while the vehicles were removed.
It was reopened just before 7pm.
The spokesman said no-one else was hurt and police are not investigating the crash.
